The Poetic Artiste has always been a creator at heart, and her exploration into the world of epoxy resin began as a way to blend functionality with artistic expression. Teaching herself the intricate craft, she now creates custom ashtrays, each a unique fusion of creativity and technique.
Her process begins by selecting vinyl stickers, which serve as the artistic foundation of the piece. Carefully applied to the base of the mold, these stickers set the tone for the ashtray’s overall design. Next, she pours the first layer of epoxy resin, adding glitters, small objects, and other embellishments that reflect her vibrant artistic style. These elements float within the resin, creating depth and dimension.
The resin then undergoes a curing process, which can take anywhere from 24 to 72 hours, hardening into a durable, glossy finish.
Each ashtray is not just functional but a miniature work of art—combining practicality with beauty in a way only The Poetic Artiste can envision. Each Ashtray is 1 of 1.
